The IRC Migration theme looks at how cultures, communities and societies are shaped by migration, mobilities and multilocality. Some of the key research interests under this theme are identities, including linguistic identities, belonging, intercultural dialogue, as well as racism and othering. Theme members have led and participated in related funded projects, such as IndyLan, REDI, InterTrainE, Moving Languages, RADAR

Eilidh's research looks at interlingual translation in museums. Eilidh is interested in the ways that museum objects, spaces and texts combine to create an affective experience for the visitor. She is carrying out field work at New Taipei Yingge Ceramics Museum in Taiwan, funded by a Taiwan Ministry of Education Short-Term Research Award.
